Join a committee
Being a part of an MYC committee is a great way to make your voice heard. Choose the issue or issues that matter most to you. Then, contact the committee leader(s) to inquire about openings.
Attend Congress-wide meetings
Every two months, the MYC meets with elected officials to discuss policy proposals and committee decisions. Make sure you’re there, so you can stand up for the interests of Minneapolis youth.
Complete an application
The MYC is comprised of 55 members at a time, which includes 5 teens from each of the 11 planning districts. As spots open up periodically, the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board fills the spots with applicants.
